about me

I am a 31 year old, amateur author from the beautiful coast of southwestern Oregon. A somewhat compulsive writer, I have completed three manuscripts, and am currently beginning my fourth. I like to play with different moods and tones in my work, and try to find a bit of hope, or humor, in the bleakest of situations.

favourite books

I'm a sucker for the darker classics...The Phantom of the Opera, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Wuthering Heights...just can't resist "obsessed" characters ;-). I also love Kim Harrison's “Hollows” series, and anything by Gregory Maguire.

Marshfield

Catherine Cardoza-Summers

Is Charlotte Hartford really being stalked by a werewolf, or is something infinately worse happening in the small town of Marshfield?

Is Charlotte Hartford really being stalked by a werewolf, or is something infinitely worse happening in the small town of Marshfield? At her husband's insistence, expectant mother, Charlotte Hartford begrudgingly leaves her beloved Las Vegas home for the small, forested community of Marshfield, Oregon. Upon arrival, she quickly finds herself surrounded by mystery. From the appearance of enigmatic and strangely irresistible Liam Musgrave, to hushed whispers of bloody "attacks" during the full moon, Charlotte is convinced that there is more to Marshfield then meets the eye. An assault from behind in a darkened wood provides evidence of a monster's existence, but will anyone believe what even Charlotte did not see? And is the monster itself wolf, man, or something in between? Marshfield is the unique and intriguing first novel of an upcoming series.

The Giant's Boots

Catherine Cardoza-Summers

A middle aged, school teacher’s obsession with his fifteen year old student leads to an unthinkable act.

15 year old Dana Silva is a self-described “invisible girl.” Overweight and painfully shy, she wants only to feel wanted. Instead, she is plagued with a hopeless crush, an abusive step-father, and recurring nightmares of a faceless monster. Despite the scarcely concealed love of her eccentric best friend, Jack Simmons, and the newly acquired attention of star athlete Ryan Ferrell, Dana cannot see her own desirability. She has no idea that there is someone who desires her above all. Bruce Altar is a man obsessed. Middle aged and disenchanted with life, his teaching career is tiresome, his family, a burden. Only Dana brings him joy, and he intends to possess her, at any price. A masked kiss sets off a chain of events that will bring the young girl to the very brink of insanity. Abduction, isolation, and the development of a horrifying attachment to her captor, leave Dana dangerously submissive. Only an unlikely partnership between Jack and Ryan offers hope of escape, as they unravel the circumstances of the girl’s disappearance, and race to prevent the unthinkable...
