Travelfreaks: The Great Advent....

Tony Jackson

Ever thought about giving up that 9-5 job? Selling the car? How about selling the house? Had enough of the rat race?

It is the inquisitiveness of human nature that gnaws away at us, constantly questioning, is this it?... Is my life really mapped out for me? For most people, the answer is yes.

So many of us dream about seeing the world, so very few us are prepared to take that leap and break away from the ties that trap us in the 'race' to embark on an adventure. To change, to challenge, to explore. I don't for one minute suggest booking a yearly package holiday and trying to see as many different countries every year before the inevitible happens. I'm not even going to start talking about the possibility of buying a 'round the world' ticket and visiting the well trodden tourist traps that seem to be ever more popular. But what I am asking you to consider is this...What if we no longer want to be in this race? What if, we were to give up everything to find out what is out there beyond this race? What if...?
From giving up their careers to selling all of their belongings and having nothing left but the packs on their backs!

Reading about someone elses life makes you realise that we all play out the same scenes. It is that characters that make the difference! Thank you for your story. I thoroughly enjoyed the journey!
