about me

I am an expatriate American living in Germany. I've written three novels so far -- the first two are sci-fi, and my most recent is a two part series about German reunification.

I like books that immerse the reader in the story, rather that dazzle with flowery language and description.

favourite books

"Fear & Loathing In Las Vegas" by Hunter S. Thompson
"The Path To Power" by Robert Caro
"Der Mann mit dem Ledertasche" by Charles Bukowski (German language edition)
"On Writing" by Stephen King

"A Good Man Is Hard To Find" by Flannery O'Connor
"The White Tiger" by Aravind Adiga
"The Autiobiography Of Malcolm X"
"Invisible Man" by Ralph Ellison
"King Ink" by Nick Cave
"The Last Lion: Churchill Alone" by William Manchester
"Dreams Of My Father" by Barack Obama

Especially at the beginning of this chapter, I am having trouble following who is saying what. view book

Very heavy reading. I imagine the writing was cathartic. Congratulations on surviving such a wretched childhood. view book
