about me

Hello, thank you for visiting my profile. My passion is to write, my enjoyment is to read, and my spare time is to create. I am a writer of Poetry, Creative Writing and Non Fiction.

I love culture, languages, people, reaching for the impossible and seeing it unravel. I love to laugh and I giggle heaps. I'm determined, passionate and very stubborn in many areas, however, I truly love to see people achieve the best of their ability and I adore watching someone succeed when others have said "it can't be done."

I'm somewhat an activist when it comes to injustices. I loathe injustice and will fight to the very core of my being when injustice rears its ugly head.

My most favourite quote, and one that I've lived for and practiced for so many years is "Before the reality comes the DREAM"

PLEASE NOTE:

*** I do not accept Spam.
***I do not do friends on Authonomy due to my News Feed getting too overloaded with information that I really do not need to know about.
***I desire to encourage all writers and support any fellow writer no matter what genre they write in. Writing is a most difficult field to succeed in, and I believe we as Writers, should all be spurring each other on, not pulling each other down to the level of being a dog eat dog industry.
***I try to read a book a month, it's so difficult with my very hectic lifestyle. I do alot of reading for research especially, therefore, I aim to also slot in a book from Authonomy.
***Those books that I back usually stay on my profile for 4-8 weeks.
***My main objective is to be entirely fair to all of the aspiring Authors on this website.

Salwa grew up with her father habitually reading books of Arabic poetry and reciting them aloud. In 1980, the family moved from New Zealand to Australia. This is where Salwa's journey of writings began.
Lebanon, a land of intense and passionate Poets and a nature that echos an invitation to any Poet, to sit and hear what this ancient land has to share, through words of her own, is a future longing.

As a Writer, of both Non Fiction, and Creative writing, Salwa is most passionate about Poetry and prefers to label her writings as - Writing Pieces rather than Poems/Poetry for the specific rationale that these writings are pieces that reflect nature, emotions, sentiment, and experiences of the human body, mind, and spirit.
There exists a wide collection of Salwa's Writing Pieces.

Losing Me

Salwa Samra

Losing Me is a true story of joy, heartbreak, despair, endurance, and hope. Pain is never in vain.

Losing Me takes the reader on a journey with the Writer. A journey that travelled for 6 years. It's beginnings set in excitement, anticipation, and expectations. Midway through the journey the reader will be confronted with pain, sorrow, despair & heartache. The destination of the journey will find the reader, with the Writer, discovering that when darkness is most prevalent, there is light that is yearning to squeeze through and be dominant, because with any journey comes a final destination.

Poets Room - She'ir Chambre

Salwa Samra

An art almost extinct - Poetry.
To a world that has lost the love of Poetry. I bring you my Writing Pieces.

As a writer of Poetry, I like to give my writings the title of - Writing Pieces, rather than Poems / Poetry for the specific rationale that the writings are Pieces that reflect nature, emotions, sentiment, and experiences of the human body, mind, and spirit.
My Writing Pieces are varied and wide in subjects such as love, war, drugs, passion, deception, pain, sickness, beauty, suicide, and the list goes on.

I offer the buyer that personal touch of writing for any occasions - wedding, birthday, engagement, funeral, loved one, etc.

Donna, I completed "No Kiss Goodbye" most definitely one of the BEST books I've read here on Authonomy! To say that you had me swallowed up in it would be an understatement. Every entire bit of the book held me captive. As I've mentioned before I absolutely love true life stories. From Chapter 1... view book

Hello Joel, you have a very interesting, hard core book here, not my usual genre, however, I understand that some may truly relate to it. As I was reading I wondered what it was that compelled you to write a fiction such as this. I usually like to get into the mind of writers to discover the inspi... view book

Dear Donna, I'm up to Chapter 18 and felt to let you know how thoroughly I'm enjoying your book. No Kiss Goodbye is written with ease and flows beautifully. I absolutely indulge in reading true life stories and other cultural lifestyles. Having the ability to reveal the Communist rule in your boo... view book

Hello Margaret, I have read up to Chapter 4. Firstly, there is no doubt that you have a passion to show people who God really is and why you believe in Him and His existence, and His desire to have a relationship with mankind - his Creation. As a Christian myself I enjoyed the scriptures you incor... view book
