about me

Since my 22nd birthday has passed, I can officially say I've been writing for half my lifetime. I've received honorable mentions in the 2007 and 2010 Lorian Hemingway Short Story Competitions, have taken a creative writing correspondence course and college course, and have the equivalent of a minor in English. Books are one of the biggest parts of my life.

Info about backing: I'm a Christian with very conservative beliefs. For this reason, I think it's important to state that I do not necessarily personally agree (or disagree) with all of the content presented in a book I have backed. If I back a book, it does mean that either I find the story compelling, or that I think the writer has talent or a good sense of voice.

Just finished your baby. :) I read the last two chapters. Your messages of forgiveness, and striving to see God in our hardships are universal. Congrats on reaching the top 5. :) Jonie view book

Hey, just finished chapter 36. I know you're going for intensity at this point, but I wonder if the pacing is too brisk. The situation with the baby shift so quickly, and then the focus shifts to Brandt before we really have time to adjust to Miah's new situation. Just a thought. Jonie view book

Something that's very impressive not only in 35, but also in your entire book, is your meticulous detail with the medical information, the legal information, etc. It's obvious that you've familiarized yourself with the facts you need to make your story believable. Jonie view book

Good ending to chapter 34. You've trickled out information along the way, leaving your reader curious and ready to turn the page. Jonie view book

Hey, Dianna. :) Just finished chapter 33. Your poetic style is evident, and I know you've gotten many compliments on your descriptiveness. Some of the phrasing at the end, like "London to a brick," I'm not familiar with, but maybe that's just me. Best of luck reaching the ED! :) Jonie view book
