about me

I am a father of four who has spent a lifetime making up fantasy stories to help my children get to sleep and always failed since the laughter and excitement continued long after I had left the room.

Last year, when my daughter announced that she would have a baby, I suddenly realised that I am not so young and decided to stop my wonderful wife’s constant nagging and put finger to keyboard.

With several themes to choose from, I decided to listen to my youngest son and write about his favourite:
Jack and his magical cat. Boots.

Jack and Boots Series
-------------------------------
1. Jack and Boots - When Magic Breaks Through
2. Jack and Boots - Boots Goes to School
3. Jack and Boots - Animal Magic at the Farm

I will always review a book if someone reviews one of mine.

I like honest feedback as long as it is friendly. I want to make my books better.

Jack and Boots - When Magic Br....

Adrian.A.Moore

Jack’s family life becomes extraordinary when he gets a mischievous magical cat for his eighth birthday, and together they start their exploration of new worlds.

A birthday becomes more exciting than Jack could ever have believed, when he goes to the animal sanctuary and gets a cat that is definitely not normal.

At first he thinks his cat Boots is just a talking cat, but soon discovers he is magical, much older than Jack can imagine, and knows a huge number of magical places they could visit.

Jack soon discovers the magical spells that Boots uses in the real world can have unforeseen consequences, and often worries whether his parents will discover his wonderful secret.

In the magical forest, he finds out the hard way that nothing is totally safe, even sleeping flowers. He meets pixies, elves, dwarfs and many other friendly thinkers, and even trees that can talk and walk. And he soon realises that his life will never be the same again.

This is not just another story only about MAGIC.
It’s about HARMONY
It is about the love and harmony of a family, a boy and a magical cat.
It’s about MAGIC
Magic in the real world, Magic in many magical kingdoms and the Magic in life itself

I hope you enjoy it.

Jack and Boots - Boots Goes to....

Adrian.A. Moore

Boots uses magic to change himself into a boy and joins Jack's class for two days.

This book is the second in a series. The story takes place in the week directly after Jack's Birthday which is also the last week of term. Boots becomes a French boy called Bernard and uses his magic to make school a much more fun place. 'Ants in the jam' is based on a true story that happened when I was young.

Jack and Boots - Animal Magic ....

Adrian.A.Moore

Jack and his magical cat Boots go to the farm. Jack talks to the animals and Boots uses his magic to increase the fun.

When Jack's mum needs some eggs to bake a cake, she sends Jack off to the farm. Jack meets Gerald the bull and Nobbly the horse. He has fun feeding the pigs and collecting eggs from the hens. Mrs. Brown, the farmer's wife lets him have a go at milking Buttercup the cow. Boots gets up to lots of magical mischief as usual.

I’ve heard editors don’t like swift changes of POV. ‘He liked her grip…(his POV) …She noticed (her POV). From a personal viewpoint, I like to understand each person’s view. Where would you like to sit? Whichever…’ For me it should be Wherever. I would only use ‘whichever’ if he had a choice to si... view book

This is an original story about earth beings with many funny parts. I loved the bit about her finger falling off and being re-attached. And of course they would eat rock cakes. This is well written and perfect for children. I will back it with great pleasure. Adrian Jack and Boots view book

This is a fun story that will keep the childs attention the whole time. I was a little surprised to see the comment about 'a film' for cameras since I didn't think any kids these days even knew about the 'old technology'. Apart from that minor comment, this is a splendid book and I am very happy to ... view book
