Today (31 May 2011) I am loading the first 10,000 words of "I HAVE COUNTED YOUR TOES" - the moving yet uplifting story of my son Andrew, diagnosed at 18 with teenage cancer. Threatened with the possible loss of his leg he strives against all odds to achieve his childhood dream to fly.

Meanwhile I'm also working on "ENTANGLED" and will soon load it up here for you to read. *********************************************************

ABOUT ME:
Born in Cape Town. Lived in Zambia, Tanzania and Ghana, but now divide my time between Cape Town, England and Menorca - chasing the sun.

I also have four romance novels published.
And I spent three years editing my mother's fiction (Dora Taylor): "Kathie" and "Don't Tread on My Dreams" in 2008 (for which she won the South African Literary Posthumous Award), and "Rage of Life" in 2009, all published by Penguin.

LEAVING 1989: The sense of mystery kicks off smartly from the very first paragraph and you keep this page-turning quality throughout the first chapter. I was taken aback by Liam's mother's sudden death and had to go back to make sure I hadn't missed anything. Apart from that I was intrigued and cou... view book

THE KID: This is a riveting, touching, spell-binding story. It deserves to be told and published and I have no doubt it would be a best-seller. I have a couple of little suggestions. Use full stops instead of commas when you need to increase the pace and the sense of drama. For instance: "I'd n... view book

THE INITIATE: Fanchon, I love the freshness and originality of this story ,which elevates it several notches above the usual mould of vampire novels. The pitch clearly illustrates that you have crafted a strong literary backbone on which your story will be built, giving the reader the comforta... view book
