about me

I was born in Italy and raised in Australia. I have been in the Air Force, traveled and worked around the world. I then studied to became a teacher of English History and Languages, and I cultivated my interest in Linguistics with a masters in this field. I jumped at the opportunity to teach in USA which is where I met my other half, Karen whom I have renamed Kaz. Both Kaz and I began writing poetry as a teens and have continued while also self-publishing novels, poetry anthologies and various articles. I worked at several occupations from advertising to cab driving. I helped teach a Children’s Ministry class and developed many characters for through teaching. After studying Children’s Literature I turned a hand to writing and wrote The Caver King originally self-published in Australia.
We ive with ‘the rat’ (Chihuahua) at our home - Karenzo Pines – teach English, write stories articles and poetry, and happily argue about Post-modernism. I approach writing with a philosophy that says, “If the story is not going to upbuild and teach something lasting, why bother writing it?”
