Forgive the vanity - I am 18 in the photo (now 52!). I am married (25yrs) and have a daughter (21yrs) and a black lab who makes me laugh every day. I have a degree in biology and have worked in several spheres including shop management, graphic design (pre-computer), child minding, secretarial and person centred counselling. I love books and enjoy writing stories for children.
Fungus the bogeyman, Ethel and Ernest - Raymond Briggs fan obviously. Anything Roald Dahl, Wilbur Smith's Courtney trilogy (Men of Men etc) but not his later stuff, Pride & Prejudice (a beautifully woven story - prefer to read it), Very happy to read anything that grabs my imagination.
Walter is an impatient fledgling who can’t wait for his wing feathers to grow.
An ideal picture book story for young children (up to 4yrs). This is a gentle story of determination as a baby bird learns to fly.
