about me

Born and raised in Manchester, I spent the early part of my childhood gazing at the heels of platform shoes, as an adult who reached the dizzying height of five foot zero, it isn't hard to understand why platforms were the only things on my horizon, thankfully, I grew up ( I wish) and did the things most people do, got married had children, got divorced. Bringing up two children on my own was character building to say the least but enjoyable none the less. Then in 2003 I began to write, stories spilling out of my head onto paper, why? to be honest, it was the cheapest way to read to my children and then later to keep myself occupied when I became ill in 2006, what I was left with was an adiction, something akin to infatuation, not unlike those platforms.
I just have to add, that I will not back religious books.

favourite books

The Colour of Magic by Terry Pratchett, Artemis Fowl by Eoin Colfer, Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen, The wierd stone of Brisingamen by Alan Garner, Troy by David Gemmel.

Interesting and thought provoking. Any error's on accuracy have already been pointed out. Richard Dawkins (excuse the spelling) has touched on this area, although not quite in the same way. Your book differs by the way you contrast religion with science and the connection, throughout the world, of... view book

An almost lyrical prose. Very nice beginning and I want to read more. The paragraph where Bastion meets the imp and then asks what she was, this needs to be revealed by Larian, just describe the imp and then let Larian tell us what she is. You see? Besides that one itty bitty trifle, this is exce... view book

I was attracted to this simply because I'm Mancunian, but now that I have read the first chapter I can see it is much, much more. If the rest of the book is anything to go by then all I can say is; Amazing. view book

Excellent first chapter. It is well written and flows easily. I can easily see myself buying this. Miros took me on his adventure and I crave more and will definately read on. Only one nit, and you can ignore if you wish. The first sentence was a little too flowery, but that's just my opinion. All... view book

Hi Robert, I'm no expert, but I hope I'm helping. It could barely be distingushe, as a cloudy cast was blurring my vision. My eyes felt as if they would explode. I stared up at the ceiling, with unsettling stillness. Or something like that. Sorry if I'm being cheeky The story on the other ... view book
