A solid opening chapter...last man in the office...murky financial dealings with the pesky Russians...strong hook at the end of the chapter imploring us to read on. I've read 1-3 and enjoyed your story so far. Just a couple of points: a very dense prose style...I think the overall narrative would benefit from a judicial edit to help move the story forward, especially as you weave together many different threads.
