about me

After taking a break from Authonomy I've realized it's time to let go of the addiction and get on with a whole lot of things I've put on hold while reading endless books!

I've enjoyed my time on this site, encountering some really excellent novels and having my horizons widened through genres I would not normally have dipped into.

I've also been grateful for the comments left about my own book, many of which were very useful in helping me to hone the text.

So farewell Authonomites. It's been fun but now it's time to get back to real life. Best of luck to all the great writers on this site!

Dave I've read up to chapter 5 with great enjoyment and put your book on my shelf. I do have a few comments. I wasn't sure about chapter 1. The implication that the Earth was sentient creature, resentful of the life forms on it could put some people off. The chapter itself wasn’t particularly fu... view book

John from your great opening paragraph, which immediately grabbed me, you go on to weave a convincing story of human frailty, emotion and manipulation. It's on my shelf. Jen (Play or Die) view book

Sly, this novel is an absolute treat! Your Robin Hood-style heroes never pretend to be ‘good-guys’ but nevertheless repeatedly and satisfyingly quench our desire to see the nastiest baddies get their just desserts. Your writing style is decisive and sure - completely free from waffling bs but brill... view book

Sinister and surreal, this story mesmerizes the reader. After chapter 1, I felt the need for a break but couldn't bear to put it down before learning more. Absolutely a psychological thriller. It's on my shelf. Jen (Play or Die) view book

Great opening chapter. Love the idea of this driven, tough man turning out to be a ‘naughty’ prince. Wonderful characterization and dialogue and a story line that instantly draws in the reader. I’m only up to chapter 2 but I’m hooked and will read more. For the moment, I’m stopping to back this exce... view book
