about me

UPDATED 6/10/09

Hello, my name is Cat, and I have an Authonomy addiction...

As you can probably see if you've come by wondering what's happened to 'Channeller', I have now made my book private.

I owe huge thanks to all of the people who read and commented and helped me polish my manuscript, but until I actually finish the first draft of this novel, I cannot afford to spend any more time on this site. Every minute I spend trying to return reads is stopping me from writing, and my characters are now starting to kick my brain in protest.

Everyone to whom I still owe a read will get one, and then I will have to bow out of the site until I have something ready to market.

Thanks, and it's been wonderful, darlings! :-)

Hey Jo, I've popped by to read 'Spoilt' in response to your kind comments on 'Channeller', and I think you've got all the makings of a successful thriller here. Your manuscript reads quickly and your language is tight. You do have a way with description and character which is clean and immediatel... view book

Hi Freddie, Well, I'm here to read 'Honour' for you in response to your request for a critique and your kind comments on 'Channeller'. As you know, my critiques will always be a combination of what I personally like, and what I also think could do with a bit of a tweak. All of those suggestions a... view book

Brilliant work. Creepy and excellently observed. I can see this doing extremely well :) Quick comment: in-take and un-conscious -- no need to hyphenate these as they're compound words. Backed, Cat view book

Dear Steve, I've come by to read 'Test Pilot's Daughter' in response to your kind comments on 'Channeller'. I read on to the end of Chapter 5, and I have to first say that I have absolutely no experience with planes or flying, so I can't comment on how accurate any of those aspects of it are. Wha... view book

Keefie, Sorry for the delay in return read. Due to the ever-increasing watchlist, I'm trying a new tack for my reads. Pitch and Chapter 1 for comment. I failed miserably at that because you made me read up to Chapter Three, so you're already miles ahead :-) This honestly reads more like a play... view book
