The IsIand Experiment

Paul Quinn

A story about three friends and colleagues and their search for adventure, the purpose of their expedition and their real role in it.

To the uninvolved, Christie’s Rock is just an island in the ocean.

To its owners, it's a potential source of revenue.

To the conductors of The Island Experiment, it means money, adventure and opportunity.

But to the people who live there, it's Home.

This is a story that will only appeal to fans of the genre, I believe. And it isn't the most flowing of reads, being that every facet of this distant time has been thought through and explained. I enjoyed it, being partial to this type of story anyway and I wondered if the theories brought up were s... view book

I have read a good portion of this book and very much enjoyed it. The story itelf is great; not only following this family to their new life but just the eras they span from beginning to end makes it all the more fascinating. The writing is good and to the point, I don't think you need to add anythi... view book

I think this has bags of potential in this story; framiliar yet original and the foreword was fantastic! The writing was a trans-atlantic mix, which may be a slight weakness, which American spellings paired with uniquely English dialect. I imagined an American accent until I read a few of the Englis... view book
