about me

I am a self-employed student who always has a lot going on. With a vivid imagination and a love of language I have written poetry and short stories from a young age but have recently embarked upon my first novel.
As a non-stereotypical student I enjoy historic buildings and architecture and traditional crafts and hobbies. With every chapter I write I find myself becoming enveloped in the story and living alongside my characters. I find that half the fun of writing is the research, whether it is in libraries, on-line or finding settings in my local area.

**IN TRUST**

In Trust is my first novel. I am uploading it as I write it and welcome all constructive criticism, critique and tips. Please be aware that the chapters will change in order, and will skip from past to present.
The current chapters are in the process of being proofread so any errors/lack of punctuation will be addressed and edited in the near future.

17th March: Starting to type up the several thousand words I've written by hand. Have been rather busy reading and reviewing for others; sadly returns are in very short supply, only 25%!

15th February: In the process of writing a new chapter to go ahead of chapter 1. 1-8 being re-edited.

31st January: Chapters 1-8 up and updated. Hopefully the font is now more readable, there are paragraphs (yay!) and the dialect is now easier to read. R&R returned!

26th January: The first seven chapters are up, chapter eight is being typed up and chapters one through to seven are being edited and updated when I get a spare five minutes.

In Trust

Johanna Mordue

With its ancient oak and its grand manor house the sleepy village of Farnleigh Chase is steeped in history; an ideal place for murder.

The Farnleigh family built the village of their namesake from nothing thanks to a discovery by the ancestor William Farnleigh over a century ago, however three generations later and numerous less than savoury encounters the family seat is under threat. However, this threat is an unknown: a series of seemingly unrelated murders centred around the sleepy village and its apparently innocent inhabitants have the local constabulary bewildered. With no obvious connection and no sign of where the murderer may strike next the villagers of Farnleigh Chase are on tenterhooks, each as much of a suspect as another all with the potential to become the next victim.

This is fantastic. I really enjoyed reading the parts you have uploaded and want to now how the story will finally come to its conclusion. The synopsis pulls you in and the chapters flow from there. Well done! Johanna view book

I said to myself that I would only read one chapter and somehow I just carried on without any knowledge of time. I love the way the reader gets transported back in time, and the depth of the characters involved is fantastic. Beautifully written and a true classic! Johanna view book

I have to admit I found this book hard to get into as it is not the sort I would usually read. However, I found it well written and engaging and I'm really glad I picked it up! Can't wait to read more of it! Johanna view book

The writing in this book is so good that I felt I was almost there. Initially, I resisted picking it up as I assumes (wrongly) that it would cram all sorts of animal rights messages down my throat. I am VERY glad I read it and wish I had done sooner; the reader makes up their own mind and I couldn... view book
