Loonə Over Lilydale

C. Cravitz Junior

A springtime ConFaBuLaTioN.
A much bantered folk tale, faithfully put to pen.

An upbeat duckling trips through the countryside opening into unexpected vistas. She sets a cracking pace aside creatures of extraordinary inclinations with scant time for any who disrupt the flow.

Her quizzing and probing takes her well beyond a mere fairytale setting – into deepest, darkest woods, stellar dimensions and dream-scapes. She is tried, tested ... and finds herself equal to the task. All who meet her are swayed by her rebound. Then she meets a most 'adventitious' guide and their destiny is fulfilled. And she becomes Loone over Lilydale.

Wending her way home again, nothing is the same again. She has new friends, and one who will remind her in dreams of unfolding plans; so where to from Lilydale?

A modern allegory; a fairytale for the young at heart.

Hello John, well I read three quarters of it. While it flows well and its humorous, it's quite clear you don't know where you're taking it. It's not an unpleasant read for these first few pages, but ... In the first part, it is nearly all dialogue and description of the two characters. You've weaved... view book

Thanks John. Actually, no wonder you were confused. I uploaded an unedited chapter by mistake. Anyway, thanks for pointing my attention to it. I'll return the favour soon. view book

I feel you've shortchanged yourself with the pitch. This is a potentially unique angle - well it already is - but I think you shouldn't assume that anybody here knows where you're coming from. Give us a bit more please. How is a story like Irish music? Kindle our curiosity. This is something you kno... view book

An abrasively immediate author's voice. It packs no punches. I appreciate how you've wrought your own similes. Yes, it is original. It's early days yet, but if a pattern emerges where we can see some sort of consistency in the author's voices imagery then it could work ... but it feels, at present, ... view book

There is no shortage of 'how to' books on the market, but the Impeccable Editor's Guide does precisely that. It takes your hand in a thoughtful, upbeat voice without the need to be didactic. The author draws from his own experience and writes what he knows best and is true exemplar of what he advoca... view book
