about me

A self-proclaimed bibliophile, T. L. Haddix has had a life-long love affair with the written word. After trying several different career routes, including medical transcription, genealogical research services and a very brief career as a sandwich artist, she finally took the plunge she had been avoiding for years and started writing. She is constantly creating, whether it is painting, drawing, designing house plans, cooking, baking, crocheting, knitting or quilting, the drive to create an intrinsic part of who she is.

Living in Southern Indiana with her husband and their three cat children, she is currently hard at work on her next novel. T. L. loves to hear from her fans, and can be reached through her website at www.tlhaddix.com.

Brittany, I love it. Can't wait to finish reading it, as a matter of fact. I think you could use a good editor, but I'm more than glad to back your book. I can't wait to find out what happened to make Samantha the way she is, and I hope David is as nice as he seems. Good work, and good luck.... view book

First-person perspective/point of view is hard to pull off. Remember that if the narrator is speaking from her perspective, she cannot read the mind of a different person and know things that they are thinking. Example - narrator can say "she looked frustrated and put out" but cannot say "she felt... view book

Some constructive criticism: This jumps around so much I had a very difficult time following it. I'm thinking you might be doing that on purpose, to represent the chaos in the character's mind, but for me, it is just a little too much. Also, keep your point of view/perspective neat and the same, ... view book

I think you need to work on the manuscript a little - polish it up. Have reader/writer friends do a Beta read for you. Definitely an interesting concept, and with a little work, something I would pick up off a shelf and read. There are some great writers over at the Kindle Boards forum, if you've... view book

This is neat - I know where Orange County is! Well constructed, very dark. Deserves a good, long look. Will be glad to back you. Good luck. view book
