Once upon a time...okay so we've all heard that story, but how about this one?

This is the story a girl, who can't tell you her real name (it's nothing personal, she's just paranoid), but has aspirations towards fame and fortune (hey, who doesn't?)...

Rika Ashton, our favourite author (okay, maybe not everybody's, but most people...or a few...), was born and raised in Western Canada, but has dreams of seeing the entire world at least twice. (As if!)

Rika's your average girl, she like reading, drawing, cooking, dancing and of course, writing. She's a big fan of cats (and other assorted felines), but dislikes dogs with a passion. She just can't seen to get along with them. Or maybe they don't get along with her.

Either way, she's at constant war with her neighbour's dog. (A big ugly labrador...I think!)

But that's not all you should know about her boring life. She's also a big fan of anime and comedy. Rika hates heart-breaking, tragic stories and is a romantic at heart. She often reads romance with a suspensful twist or some fantasy thrown in. (Like the Dark-Hunter series by Sherrilyn Kenyon.)

While writing Rika often listens to music, particularly rock/alternative or pop. Her favourite musicians include the Jonas Brothers, Evanescence, Linkin Park and many more that I can't think of write now.

So what did you think about this normal, average, everyday story about a normal, average, everyday girl? (If you read this far then you're more determined than I am...and I wrote it!)

Anything by Sherrilyn Kenyon, Johanna Lindsey, Jayne AnnKrentz/Amanda Quick/Jayne Castle, Teresa Medeiros, Julia Quinn...Basically anything with a good romance, along with fantasy or suspense.
