about me

The written word is my obsession, be it written by my hand or another. I have written several stories. None are complete, but two of my books will each be a full series. I intend to post them to Authonomy, but first I need to make covers for them, and that is proving far easier said than done. Any tips?

As for my books:

1. Define 'enemy'; Princess Arymilla of Angostin is far from the most malleable young Lady one has ever met. King Tornac is at his wits' end juggling his daughter and his ancestors' war. The Detrenin army has been quiescent, and the infamous Detrenin House of Ellessari have retreated from the battlefield.
King Leodhram's of Detrenin's calculating eyes have been forced inward. His need to protect his only son leads him to seek the company of the Ellessari heirs. From dangers internal and external.

2. All Must Obey the Rules; The grass was green, the harvests bountiful, and the people of the Five Dynasties rejoiced and prospered. All was well, and old sorrows had been scabbed with new joys.
The grass never changed color, the harvests did not withhold their potential, and the people of the Five Dynasties grieved once more. Old sorrows and new sorrows weighed ever more heavily on their hearts. How to live on, when hope has been lost?

3. A Conundrum? Which one?; Well, there is the mysterious, deadly young Lady; the soldiers who were told they would be her protectors; the innkeeper that seems to be everywhere; signs of pursuers that always keep their distance, and are never seen; and then there is the attitude of the capital city. What in the world is going on?!

4. The Triad Trilogy; Sergei Amyitsnokhov. Davine Talen. Cherie Haine. Elizabeth Jiordan. Carving a safe haven out of a ghastly, corrupt setting was their only goal. Changing the world was only a side effect.

Sanctuary; Sanctuary. What they longed for. What they had once known. What they had the power to reach. No matter the cost. They will be safe, and the children they guard will not have their childhoods stolen from them in a repeat of their own lives. By law, or by blood.

True; Second in the Triad trilogy. A pulse warned the trainees of the Academy before they began to be hunted, when warrants were issued for their arrests. Scatter and go to ground. But Davine was missing, possibly in danger, and their Seraph had fallen. They were trained in obedience, but even more, they were trained in loyalty.
Meanwhile, a certain media darling has earned her law degree, and decides to finish General Rochere's work.

4.) Undetermined title: She breezed into his life silently, unknowingly. How could she know he saw the all-too-familiar look in her eyes? All that Kyle knew was that he had to meet her. How could he possibly regret anything that happened afterward?

"Go placidly among the noise and haste,

and remember what peace there may be in silence.

As far as possible without surrender

be on good terms with all persons.

Speak your truth quietly and clearly;

and listen to others,

even the dull and the ignorant;

they too have their story."

Hello. A bit of advice? The first chapter is the 'make it or break it', after the summary. And yours is packed with action, with a decent pace. Both good things. You also have a strong voice; distinct and descriptive. The main character tells his story well, even if not succinctly. But the sen... view book

Your story has a good flow, it is descriptive, but not overly. It isn't going to win any awards for wit, or turn of phrase - there are a few awkward sentences in there. I'd recommend a general read-through to scoop out some of the grammatical errors and typos. The technical jargon shows you defin... view book

I can't remember if I did go back and leave a review on the full book, so if I have, you can disregard this, lol. There are precious few books I can actively reread and not tire of, but this one takes the cake, Sly. Most books of this genre, once you read through them once, and know what is goin... view book

I love it! The wording is, in places, overly descriptive, but as a whole, it is very good. It is obvious from your writing, that Stonefish has a very cool, calculating nature, and each of the main team are equally described. The men that come along now and then to assist, though, could use a bit ... view book

This is quite a commendable Young Adult story. It at times seems a bit more grownup than most in such a genre, but it is still something a child would have no difficulty reading. The intrigue of an alien on the planet will easily catch any child's fantasy, and the plights of bullied Aaron and his ... view book
