about me

I've joined forces with Brazilian comic book creator and artist, Rak M Nay to translate and revamp Arcanom.

I have to say that even though the language barrier made pulling the story together difficult, Rak created a brilliant storyline, and he is wonderful to work with.

As for me...sometimes, I think I'm my worst enemy because I write cross-genre fiction. It’s a risk, but without risks there are no changes.

My characters aren’t thrill seekers. They’re ordinary people taking risks to make a better life for themselves and the people they love.

In the sci-fi thriller/romantic comedy, Genni’s Box, Trevor is a father who will do anything to give his brain damaged daughter a normal life.

Blue Jeans of the romantic/thriller, Kate, Blue Jeans and a Single Shot, will risk his life to give his only hope a chance.

Editing is a constant process, so is preparing marketing plans and creating companion websites to make the stories interactive.

I have a full plate, but I will read books I want to read. I don't respond to queries unless you have a hell-ov-a pitch. Plus read my other comments, if you don't think you can take the heat, don't ask me into your kitchen. I burn almost everything:)

My work:

I have a variety of nonfiction articles throughout the web and in print. Clips available as requested. I specialize in writing about teen & women’s issues and health, family health, adult & child mental health, and issues of sex & sexuality. I also write inspirational true stories.

The full manuscripts of both books are available to agents and publishers on request.

The fun artwork for Genni's Box was done by the wonderful Bradley Wind.

Personal Stuff:

Husband, two daughters: One Nature girl, One Goth, Both Great Kids! Two Pets: Siberian Husky and a rescued European Starling who talks and sings (yes, they can). We travel the country extensively in a van to get a feel for North America. We're also serious back-country campers, meaning no toilets no water, but lots of fun.

favourite books

I’m a huge Joseph Campbell and Shackleton fanatic. I will read anything by them or about them.

2001: A Space Odyssey, by Arthur C. Clarke
The Inner Reaches of Outer Space, by Joseph Campbell
The Unfinished Revolution, Michael Dertouzos
Looking for Mr. Goodbar, Judith Rossner
The Postman Always Rings Twice, by James Cain
South: The Story of Shackleton’s Last Expedition, by Sir William Shackleton

I also love Manga and Graphic Novels.

So you know my true state of mind:

Kick Ass - rules
Tegami Bachi - is my inspration
Princess Ressurection - is my love

The extra long paragraphs, don't do well in this format. In reading, I felt like I was reading a book. That's not a good reaction. Strangers, oblique shadows ,foul odors, an unfamiliair place... am I supposed to be in a pig farm or somewhere else? Just giving you the same consideration and bulls... view book

I'm sorry if I don't do direct quotes (because I can't cut and paste) and I have a poor name recall, but I will do my best:) I very much like the zoom in effect in the first chapter, it's different, and the tension is good. It had a nice feel. Probably my favorite chapter of all. The overall s... view book

Hum... it's a diary so why would I expect anything else? Dunno, I just did. I hoped to do a little mind travel into someone else's head, but felt at a distance. Like the "author" wants to show us the life but doesn't want us to feel it. Maybe it's because you haven't allowed yourself to feel it. Yo... view book

This is quite interesting and very well-written almost beautiful without being boring and overbearing. I only have a few observations. You have three short openings before getting to the story. Personally, I'd say drop one or all. The quote means nothing to me. 1881 sets the time found, then the ... view book

I just read chapter one. Nothing wrong with the content. There are hints of things to come, but... it's moving a little slow for me. Not to say this will be the case for most. The chapter is also longer than IMHO, it needs to be. As for technical writing, you can tighten. I gave specific examples... view book
