about me

I am a 30-years old Hungarian-Vietnamese writer living in Hungary. Besides translating classics of the fantasy genre, such as Peter S.
Beagle's works, I was working as an editor at Delta Vision, a major
Hungarian fantasy publisher. Currently I am on maternity leave with my baby daughter, working on a short story collection (due in Hungarian this year) and the sequel of Sevenwood.

I have two published books in Hungarian (The City Within – Város két fül között and Sevenwood – Ólomerdő). My short stories have appeared in various Hungarian anthologies and magazines and three of them have been published in English language as well (Interfictions anthology, edited by Delia Sherman and Theodora Goss; and Black Petals Magazine).

The excerpt from Sevenwood is the first part from the five and there won't be more following until I raise funds to have the rest translated, I am afraid. For non-English writers, especially if they write in a not exactly widespread language, this is a problem. But I am working on it. Please stay with me.

Note: Right now I have an important deadline so I am slow in my reading, but I will get back to you eventually. Thank you for your patience!

favourite books

There are so many books I loved and that touched my heart it would be impossible to list them all. But the few I always return to are:

Michael Ende: The Neverending Story
Stanislaw Lem: The Cyberiad
Peter S. Beagle: The Last Unicorn
Ray Bradbury: Martian Chronicles
Simone Beauvoir: All Men Are Mortal

Sevenwood

Csilla Kleinheincz

When you are half fae, meeting the family may be the most dangerous adventure you ever had.

Every child believes in fairies, dragons and knights rescuing maidens. Emese's mother promised to show her the other world. But Mother has disappeared and Emese no longer knows whether Sevenwood existed at all. At last, a knight comes for her, but in the leaden forest of the fae she finds out that she is sold by those who love her most.

And she hasn’t even met her grandmother yet…

Hi Nancy, when I started reading your book I thought I will just look into it and then return to my work, but I couldn't stop until I reached the last sentence. You got me hooked - where is the rest? Seriously, I liked your story very much. Your style is genuine, I could believe that this was writte... view book

Hi Jane, I usually don't read erotica but I was interested because of the Hungarian connection. I am not too familiar with the conventions of your chosen genre so I am reluctant to offer criticism (for me the meeting with Dohenhy was a bit fast), but since I am Hungarian I can at least help with th... view book

Hi Katherine, I have read the first seven chapters and I found your story lovely. I have pleasant childhood memories about literature that portrays nature and animals and your book took me back to that time. Hi Karen, When I first saw the pitch of your book I thought 'Oh my God, it could by my story with the missing mother', and I started reading it with a little dread. Hi Dan, I have started reading and seriously had to force myself to stop because it drew me in. I will definitely be back and read it (unfortunately I have a deadline for an editing job). The dialogue in the first chapter between Yang and Szandi is great: hooks the reader, gives a strong impression... view book
