about me

Keep the faith. Your beauty, your dreams… accept. Forgive, that lie? Woman is not weak. No, we don’t need you. Never will I let any of you lay your Shit at my door again. We (fighting, fighting…) may stretch - may break through the stone, like the seed, to become our destiny. Sing, without rancour, Flowers of God, that we may never forget. That we may soldier on. Sing about Life. Distilled, its secrets. Dispelled, the untruths, lest they muddy our vision of who we Are (who else, but I…); of our right to self love. For self love is the first, the hardest step. But one day you be running…

Joan Barbara Simon

After sixteen years of marital bliss(ters) and one orgasm, she stumbles into the world of virtual romance, convinced He must be out there. Somewhere. Finding....

Miss Virginia Mendes. Wife, mother and very unhappy but she means to do something about it so she goes online... After every disappointment, she picks herself up, brushes herself off, gradually, tentatively dismantling the unquestioned selfhoods picked up along the way. Cyber-love mutates into concrete passion as the protagonist sounds out new identities-in-progress; intelligent, cosmopolitan, independent, a woman who learns to know her mind and sheds her qualms about giving the world a piece of it. Of her sensuality, her philosophy, her triumphs and her pitfalls... all the Woman she is. A voracious depiction of liberty, goaded by a click of the mouse; at times a war cry, at times a wry embrace of the female quotidian. Magnificently compelling, the irresistible power of Simon’s writing opens the door to our better Self. ‘Joan Barbara Simon is a Flower of God whose hymns, like no on else’s, have moved me to speechless admiration.’ Thomas B., Frankfurt ‘Honest in a way that few dare to be, Joan Barbara Simon celebrates body and mind, re-establishing a symbiosis that leaves one with a deep sense of inner peace.’ Selma von Uffhausen, Neetze, Germany

Hi Lincoln, this is good stuff! Love the use of bigger fonts (which are a godsend for the poor-sighted like me!) and I think the short chapters help to keep the quick pace of the story going. Sometimes your choice of font /script size seems irrational: are you sure you want the script in Ch5 to loo... view book

StampMan, I'm not doing you a favour simply because you praised my book, what I am doing right now is a duty. This. is. Breathtaking. You lion-tame words; they obey you, dutifully, beautifully sitting up so we may clap and marvel. I shudder... This book gets UNDER MY SKIN. Your style; you open by th... view book

Hello John, I won't beat about the bush. My strategy is to read the first chapter, as I think a book has to DESERVE to be read; so many books out there, gotta make a choice. If the first chapter works, I'll read one. This works; I like the dry humour (tho I hope you manage to tease a bellowing la... view book
