about me

Hi all! My name is Mariah and I am the mother of four young children. Professionally, I am a book reviewer, so naturally I enjoy reading, particularly the works of new authors. I also write, mostly fantasy, but I have dabbled in some other genres as well.

As to those of you who may wonder about the extreme length of Lordessa's Quest, it has been revised and divided into three shorter novels, although they were in the wrong format to post here, so I chose to put it up as one book. I apologize if this causes a hazard when trying to read it. :)

All of my books are available on Kindle, as well as the paperback versions at amazon.com.

Lordessa's Quest: The Journey Begins
Lordressa's Quest: Old Memories and New Beginnings
Lordessa's Quest: The Gem Of Ishara
A Window Into Her World

Lordessa's Quest: The Gem Of I....

Mariah Jones

A diverse fantasy novel with new ideas and exciting twists. Can you battle the demons of your past to ensure yourself a future?

Lordessa of Geldahar is in line to become the Queen. Her life has been seemingly decided for her, who she will marry and what path she must choose seem to be a prison of which she cannot escape. Destiny is a funny thing, as she battles with dark memories of her past and envisions a future of bleak expectation, something extraordinary happens. It seems the worst possible events sometimes bring about the brightest futures. As Lordessa's fate intertwines with many others, bonds will be both forged and broken, forever changing her life and the lives of those around her.

I have very much enjoyed spending the better part of an evening with your book and a hot cup of tea. This book is insightful and enjoyable. I laughed out loud in multiple places and nodded my head in agreement at others. Your writing style is evenly paced and not difficult to follow, although also n... view book

This book has a great hook and an excellent premise. I found your writing style to be unique and pleasant to follow. You have done a great job building mystery and giving the reader an inkling of the spooky events yet to come. Best of luck with this. MJ view book

This book has one of the best opening chapters I have ever read, on Authonomy and elsewhere. Your characters are three dimensional and real and make the reader forget they are reading and feel as if they are standing right there in the moment. I hope this book reaches the top. Excellent work. MJ view book

I have enjoyed reading your first three chapters. You hae such an elegant way of expressing your characters innermost emotions without haveing to set up a boring precursor for the reader. Your writing flows from one scene to the next seemingly effortless and makes for a pleasurable experience for th... view book

As before, I am impressed with the descriptive nature of your book. You have a way of telling a chilling tale without making the reader's stomach at the same time. When you go through your final stages of editing, my only caution would be to ensure you stay consistent with your sentence structure. o... view book
