My name is Jennifer, and I'm an aspiring author who has spent most of her life with a pen in her hand. It's gotten me in trouble more than once-- there' s nothing I'd rather do than write a story. Well, almost nothing.

I travel as much and as often as I can and I'm always up for a new experience. I was fortunate enough to study abroad in England at Thames Valley University in Ealing, and graduated from Montclair State University in New Jersey. My blog is infrequently update with our new adventures, but I do love to blog them when we have them.

I write mostly fantasy and soft sci fi/space opera, and have a great love for superheroes and cinema. I believe in strong independent female characters who are all out of bubblegum.

I try to return all reads as fast as possible, but since I have this thing called 'work' and an obligation called 'rent', life sometimes gets in the way of reading and writing. Quelle horreur! Be patient, please.

Penumbra-
is a labor of love. I've been writing it for 22 years, and have split it into two different stories. This is the first book. I finally have it in a form I like, but am certainly not opposed to working more on that form, firming it up. It is complete at over 155,000 words.

Shadow In Glass--
was a complete surprise. I had written the original 35 pages in the months before Trade Center attacks. The eerie similarity of the events in my story to real life coupled with my proximity to the event made me tuck this away.

At the end of Jan 2010, I was looking for a story excerpt I had misplaced and came across the 35 pages, and 6 weeks later, wrote the words "the end". It had been a long time since I had written those, and it felt good. It needs more polishing, since it happened so fast, but I can see the diamond starting to really take shape. It's complete at 106,000 words
