about me

Hi All. I'm a specfic writer with a number of short story sales my name. I've sold to Writers of the Future, Realms of Fantasy, Orson Scott Card's Intergalactic Medicine Show, and a handful of DAW anthologies such as Man vs. Machine, Dimension Next Door, and Spells of the City.

My true love, however, is epic fantasy, a la George Martin, and I also love the poetic beauty of Guy Gavriel Kay and the darkness of C. S. Friedman's writing. Those are the things I try to bring to my own writing. Scope, elegance, and movement.

I hope you enjoy the Winds of Khalakovo if you decide to give it a read.

Thanks so much.

Thanks for backing Winds, J&M! I gave Graemor a read, and I really liked what I saw. You're writing is very immersive, and I found myself drawn into the world, the real world falling away quickly. Though it reads a touch slow, that is not always a negative. So it proves here, because the density ... view book

Adam, this is nicely done. Very funny, but not in an overbearing, I'm-trying-too-hard sort of way. The storm moves along well because of the flowing writing style, though I did wonder, as I was reading, whether the story could be sustained for an entire novel. Fred's interesting to hang with for the... view book

This is an atmospheric tale. You do well with the descriptions of Tnuth and its inhabitants, their customs, their speech patterns, which is an especially dangerous thing to tackle in fiction--so easy to get wrong, but you do quite well with it. (As an aside, I wonder if you've ever read Angela's Ash... view book

Jared, This is very well written. So far I've read the first two chapters. There is a certain confidence in your lush writing that makes this appealing. It feels like the author is very much in charge, and as a reader, that's nice to see. I was fairly captivated throughout these chapters, though ... view book
