Being a Gold Medallist in Mechanical Engineering from Burdwan University, I never dreamt to get into IT industry. But might be God has something else stored for me. As luck struck, I got the opportunity to work with my idol NRN (Narayan Murthy) and joined Infosys in the summer of 2004.After working around two and a half year with Infosys, I joined Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) .In TCS, I worked across various abroad locations like London, Toronto, Dubai and San Francisco .The onsite engagement seemed very enriching (it lets you earn some extra bucks also, that too in a foreign currency) as it opened the world and its culture for me.
Currently I work as Microsoft Practice Manager for an IT MNC in Kolkata.
I love playing guitar while goes back to my college days writing songs for our band ‘Bihan’ (it means the rising Sun in Arabic).My other interest lies in football (being from Bengal, it’s quite common) as well as cricket.
I have been into writing stuffs for long having published my poems and stories in Infosys Magazine and TATA World Magazine ( magazine which includes all the 92 companies of TATAs).I am a vivid blogger (http://saptak-firsttry.blogspot.com/) and have contributed to lot of online magazines.

Love, logic and the God’s Algorithm is the first part of the trilogy I am currently working (the other two being ‘3Gs of my life-Guitar, Grass and Girls’ and ‘Wine, Water and Women’)
