about me

I live in the UK, but spent the majority of my life growing up in Africa. Best memories are of Lake Kariba, where your days begin with the most breathtaking and intense sunrises & end with soft and relaxing sunsets. The perfect balance of energising and calming.

Writing is my passion and has been for over 15 years. I have now decided to put myself out 'there' and see what other's think. Writing is my escape, my hiding place from reality. I love the endless possibilities proposed to us by the realms of science fiction and fantasy. My writing is an overlap of the harsh nature of reality merged with my forever optimistic imagination.

Although I say 'I Am Ben' is complete, it is a work in progress. I have put this on here as I believe there is much we can learn from each other and there is always room for improvement. I welcome all constructive comments.

I am currently working on my second book, which is a completed first draft, again a soft science fiction/fantasy story. I am trying to fine tune it as best I can before uploading.

Hi Ray, haven't got to your book yet, have added it to my watchlist. However, have noticed in your synopsis you have said 'wed' of deceit when I think you may mean 'web'. Also, fourth paragraph down 'Hyperion Scott.....' think the grammer / sentence structure may need revision (if you read it out ... view book

This is my kind of book! I like the fact that it is not so completely far-fetched that we spend most of the story trying to figure out what's what! The story and characters are well constructed and I feel this is an enjoyable read. Backed. view book

Thoroughly enjoying this read so far, intrigued to know what happens next. Brilliant character development that helps the reader build an instant dislike to Faella, and feel ourselves fimrly in Sera's corner. Well Done, backed. view book

Your writing and ideas definitely have potential, although I found a few issues with the sentence structure which slowed the pace i.e. Try: 'generously dispensing its warming rays' (Instead of having it the other way around) Try: 'nearby sinuous trees eagerly joined the perfectly chroreograph... view book

This is an interesting and very well crafted tale. I had completely lost myself and lost track of time whilst reading what you have posted. Well Done, Backed. view book
