about me

A draft of my non-fiction book 'Reality Check: Science Meets Religion' is to be found here, and I am keen to have feedback or, even better, mini-reviews. These will be particularly helpful when trying to find a publisher and will therefore be greatly valued. In return I am happy to reciprocate and back books of those who help me with this. (A great way to get to the top of my reading list is to give me a mini-review, by the way!) This book contains some fascinating evidence and some humorous takes on classic denials of the existence of God. It even shows how modern science could explain where Heaven is!

My main social networking is now done on Twitter (@authorkingsley). At this time I have well over 7,000 followers and I try to make my tweets of interest to writers.

A revised version of my debut novel, first posted here as 'Brief Respite', was published in August 2010 under the new title of 'Sandman' and this is detailed on my website at www.iankingsley.com (PB & eBook) – together with the text of Chapter 1 and, thankfully, some great reviews. Thanks to all those who helped me in the early days.

Reality Check: Science Meets R....

Ian Kingsley

In an easy and accessible manner, the author proves mind—and God—lie beyond space and time and that science now suggests where Heaven might be!

In an easy and accessible manner, the author seeks to prove mind—and God—lie outside the space-time continuum. Logic and science are brought to bear to explain the supernatural, argue for the existence of God, show where Heaven must exist, and rebut classic arguments against there being a God, including a new ‘External Consciousness Argument’ to debunk arguments such as the ‘Ultimate Boeing 747 Gambit’ in 'The God Delusion' by Richard Dawkins. The Bible creation story is shown to be compatible with science and evolution, an argument for eternal life is presented, and enigmas like why God would allow bad things to happen are resolved. Compatibility between destiny and free-will is explained, and you will discover how to determine your purpose in life through identifying your ‘destiny chain’. If you never imagined there was a logical argument for belief in God then this book might just prove to be your godsend.

This work has now been published as an eBook and details, with a video trailer about it, can be found at: http://www.iankingsley.com/books/reality-check-science-meets-religion/ Some extracts are still included here.

Sandman (was 'Brief Respite')

This psychological thriller PUBLISHED AUGUST 2010. Details and thankfully good reviews on my website at www.iankingsley.com/books/sandman

Many thanks for all comments I received on this book. I hope my own have helped in return.
I managed to get the following cover endorsement from author Sophie King: 'A gripping psychological read with characters that reach out and grab you. A real page turner.' There have been some great reader reviews on Amazon.com. However, I could really use some reader reviews on Amazon.co.uk, therefore if anyone is interested in helping me with this I am happy to send them a pdf copy to read. In return I will be pleased to comment on their opening OR to promise to return the favour - an Amazon.co.uk review of their published book. If you are interested please contact me on info50@synergise.com and I will be pleased to discuss this further.

Tom, I do hope you find a publisher for this terrific work. I have only sampled it, as an agent might, but its warmth, tremendous characterisation, and free-flowing text reassure the reader they are in the hands of a great story-teller. Yes, I have read Frank McCourt's 'Angela's Ashes' and that does... view book

Tom. I know where you are coming from. I wrote this book in parallel with a humorous novel which does, indeed, keep the subject matter at a lower level than the story. I met a publisher at the Winchester Writers' Conference about this novel and she said you can probably only get the subject matter... view book

Really well written with a great style. You paint your story on a wide canvas. I wish I has time to read more. Bearing in mind how important the first line and first paragraph are, my best chance at a positive contribution is to comment on this.. in the Prologue. I think it would be even better if y... view book

Many thanks for your comments. I think I have tried to make it clear I do not believe anything proceeds 'from' the brain (other than feedback). I agree, only faith will do at the end, and what this book does, especially in the final chapters not uploaded, is to make this point very strongly. The m... view book
