about me

I'm a 21 year old student from Belfast. I've been writting for as long as I can remember from plays, stories and songs as a child to novels, fairytales and poetry as an adult. I exsist to write and have no other outlet for my feelings, opinions and sorrows. I feel that I imprint part of myself into every syllable that I write, therfore writing is as much a part of me as any other tangible thing in my life. It would be an absolute dream to see my work in print.

favourite books

JK Rowling anything and everything, Harry Potter is a frame of mind not a mere book series. Jane Austen especially Pride and Prejudice, Poetry of the romantic era: Robert Burns Red Red Rose, genius colloquialism, Shakespeare esp Macbeth, chick lit is my guilty pleasure Marian Keys etc. Dan Brown for his microscopic detail and intrigue, gothic horror, anything supernatural or of the occult, Stephanie Meyer, angst and ardour personified and Jaqueline Susan's Valley of the Dolls which I've read countless times.

Autumn in England

Emma Hamill

Holly Turner is an American student, thrust into the English countryside to attend one of the most prestigious universities in the world, Ashford Royal.

Leaving behind her friends and family into a world of the unknown Holly is befriended by Sharon the always cheerful, always pink Valedictorian-esque popular rich girl. Holly is exposed to the lives and loves of her fellow students feeling out of the loop continuously except for a fellow American cowboy who identifies with her woes. Pursuing an English and preforming arts degree Holly's life is never short on drama but the twists and turns of her life in the Cambridgeshire countryside are wholly unexpected, from embarassing momments to creepy Biology buildings, opulent country estates and encounters of the Romantic kind Holly's English experience will stay with her forever. On her quest for academic achievement she may just find something more, if she can overcome her own feelings and treasure the Autumn spent under Englands skies.

I'd just like to say thanks to everyone who has commented on Autumn in England. It's taking me longer to get back to everyone than I thought due to my work load at the minute, but I aim to ammnd that asap. Thanks again, Emma xxx view book

Charity, You have a gift, instantly the reader is on Cathy's side, being a stay at home mum, slogging her guts out, unpaid and unappreciated. The humourous narrative prevents Cathy's complaints from being depressing or mundane and I believe a lot of women would sympathise with her woes. Defining M... view book

Theresa, This is a truely original take on a crime novel, the title alone had me smiling. I love the tone and atmosphere you've created, a small, sleepy Southern town with a weirdo with a foot fetish, it's genius! I intend to read more and I'm sure it will be great, I'll let you know, but so far I... view book

Hey Al I agree with many of the other comments for Savannah Passion, it is very well written and slick. The story is engaging though as I have read only the first few chapters I'm not entirely sure where it's going but I'm sure it's somewhere laced with mystery and debauchery. Great read. Rachel Your writing is exquistie, I was engagd from the first sentance. The imagery is so vivid and descriptive especially concerning the light in the antique store, ''...dancing off chandeliers like fairies and then flitting off to the corners in a rainbow of colours.'' I intend to read more but f... view book
