about me

I don't really get into this sort of 'about me' kind of things, but I figure I may as well write something here. I love to write and read and take pictures. I self-publish on Lulu.com, and I have three novels there. However, Rust Creek is the only book I have on this website. I am seriously considering putting chunks of the others here too, though. I don't really think they are as good as Rust Creek since they were my first attempts at writing, but the people that have read them (though they may be biased) seemed to like them well enough.

I am not done with Rust Creek yet, but I do have more done than I've uploaded. I plan on maybe adding some more since a lot of people seem to like it. Once I finish it, I will do my final editing, and then it will be available on my website. My books on Lulu are under a little bit different pen name, but it's almost the same.

I am more than happy to read people's stories, and if I like them I'll back them. And if I don't have time to read the whole thing, I'll watchlist it and save it for later!

I now have an author page on Amazon.com too! I already have two website links, so I guess I'll just tell you the link.

It doesn't have my book I have on here on Amazon.com, and I don't really think that the one that is there is all that great, but you can see it anyways, haha.

Rust Creek

There’s something about summer that’s magical. It smells, looks, and feels... different. It’s like this whole other world that's here for three months a year.

Bethany didn't know what she wanted other than for her parents to stop treating her different just because of what her brother did. When her crush showed interest in her, she fell hard and fast... too fast. And just when she thought it couldn't get worse, it did.

Charlie has always been outspoken. She's never like tourists. But when a guy comes around that makes her feel alive, she has a hard time letting him in. And when she finally does, she second guesses whether it was a good idea or not. College starts soon, and heart-ache won't help.

Amber doesn't fit in at all in Rust Creek. Born and raised in prep schools on the east coast, she's a fish out of water in small town New York. When she's faced with the fact that she needs to cut ties with her only friend in town, can she do it?

All Anna ever wanted was to get out of town. And when she finally does, it seems too good to be true. And maybe it is. Can she figure out what she wants before it's too late?

College is coming fast... can they figure out what they want?

After reading the first chapter, I wasn't so sure I was going to like this, but I kept reading anyways because I always try to give a book a fair chance before abandoning it. It did get better, and it made me laugh (which may or may not be a good thing since I currently have stitches and laughing d... view book

I read through the first couple chapters, and I found myself hardly able to stop. I liked how, in the first chapter, it didn't sound forced like some intense scenes I've read in the past do. I look forward to reading more as soon as I can. J Long Rust Creek view book

I read chapter two, and I thought that the characters were really realistic and like-able. The plot seems pretty good, and I definately will read more once I get a chance. Sorry for the super short comment, but I'm busy packing for the trip I'm leaving for tomorrow morning. J Long Rust Creek view book

I read just the first part, but it sounds pretty interesting, and I will probably come back to read more. One thing I want to point out is that it would be a little easier to read when spread out over the course of a few days if it was separated a little more, but it's not that big of a deal, I sup... view book

I read all ten chapters that you have on here, and I really enjoyed them. I think this woul definately appeal to a lot of readers, and I agree with Elizabeth that it would work pretty well as a YA novel. If you decide to add more in the future, I will eagarly read it. Happily backed. J Long (... view book
