about me
I'm 18 and I love reading and writing, I also love drawing, listening to music, and generally being weird and eccentric at the most inappropriate times.. (The usual)
I would love more than anything to be a writer, mainly the idea of sharing a world of my design with everyone else, although I honestly can't see it happening.
I use this site to fuel my blatant reading addiction whenever I get the chance. Which inevitably makes me want to write my own story, so all the hours I waste writing are officially blamed on you guys with your inspirational books.
favourite books
I mainly read YA, fantasy, unrealistic, completely bonkers kind of things, in fact the more mental the author appears to be the more I usually enjoy the book, or even if it just has lot's of bad guys and dark humour. Oh and sarcasm, lots and lots of sarcasm.
My favourite books are by far the ones with anti-hero's or just really dark main characters.
I'm quite happy to read and rate your manuscript, and at least tell you what I think of it even if I don't back it. Please don't send me more than one request for the same book, or 'reminders' they irritate me, if its taking me a while to read your manuscript then I probably just haven't gotten to it yet I don't often ignore requests they just take a while to get to.
Also lastly while I will read and rate almost anything I simply won't read two genres no matter how well you pitch them to me because they bore me.
DON'T ask me to read little kids books, books with blind mice, women in towers with ridiculously long hair-extensions, or tarts shacked up with 7 short men. Occasionally I make an exception, but not too often. There is a difference between being immature and being just plain creepy.
Secondly DON'T ask me to read your autobiography, or the biography of your hero, favourite pet, uncle Bob, best friend Todd, or any other inspirational/heart-warming things like that. Life's too short.
So yeah, those are my two hated genres, I hope you take the time to read this because receiving those kinds of requests makes the vain in my forehead explode.
