about me

I have been writing horror and dark fiction since I was 11.

I live in Morrison, Colorado with my husband and our dog. I have a BS in Psychology, love to read, hike, run, and sleep.

I have written hundreds of short stories and a few novels, though I find it hard to go beyond the first draft. Demiurge is my first novel that I have taken farther. Please take a look! I hope you like what you read!

I recently deleted all my friends off of here. Take no offense to that if you were one of them. It was an attempt to make my newsfeed not so cluttered.

Enjoy!

Demiurge

Claire L. Fishback

A divorced art teacher moves to an orphanage in the Rocky Mountains and, in doing so, awakens an ancient and destructive evil.

Ann Logan moves to Gold Bowl, Colorado, a small town tucked away in the Rocky Mountains, to teach art in an orphanage and unwittingly awakens a destructive evil. Children begin to disappear, a thick fog settles over the orphanage. Nightmares reveal stories from the past, present and future.

Wisdom is revealed, told, shared.

The ancient evil awakes.

Who will make the sacrifice to dispel the evil creature and save humankind?

This first chapter is exciting and action packed! I want to learn more about John and what is going to happen after he escaped death! Very good, tight writing, and the pace is perfect for this scene. Well done! Backing! Will read more, too! Claire L. Fishback Demiurge view book

Mark, From the start you create the mood of doom and a desolation that one can relate to with the rain and water splashing on the windows, blurring the outside world. Your prose is poetry linked together to form an unmistakable image. If I had more time to read more, I totally would. Backing... view book

This is incredible! Immediately I know this is not the "real world" I have delved into, but one of pure fantasy! You write detail very well and intermix it into the story so as not to distract the reader. Very well done. I have backed this for sure! Claire Fishback Demiurge view book

The first paragraph reminded me of what our Summer here in Colorado was like this year. WET. Uncharacteristically so. Your writing is poetic and beautiful. A lovely read! Claire Demiurge view book
