Football firms of the 80's went by an unwritten code, - not to make things personal.
The Norris brothers run the Rotherhithe/Surrey Quays section of the Bushwhackers firm, Millwall FC. The Kavanagh brothers were the ringleaders of the Lee United, Kavanagh firm. There was an unwritten code of conduct amongst rival football firms in the 80's that you didn't make things personal. So, when the Norris gang attacked Pauls car on their way to Lee Uniteds ground with his newly born baby, his girlfriend and her mother on board they had declared the feud personal. Two weeks later the Kavanagh gang sat outside Richie Norris's house getting ready to take their revenge. As a leader, Paul Kavanaghs reputation was at stake. He was more than angry in fact he was fuming that the Millwall boys had crossed the line and endangered the lives of his immediate family, especially his new born baby daughter. Unfortunately, the Kavanaghs plan to attack Richie's house backfired when they heard later that richie didn't go to his nephews tenth birthday party as his daughter had become ill that day. When I say backfired I mean the plan was for Richie and his family to come home to a burnt out house. Instead, they were burnt alive in it.
