In a time when Earth is somewhere human's avoid, Jack Murphy becomes involved in a chain of events that could spell the doom for all.
When Jack Murphy and his crew attain a new ship and travel to Delta 4, a world inhabited by the aligned council races, things go from bad to worse. After a shoot-out with a renowned bounty hunter, known to work for the Is'harian mob, word of Jack's skill spreads throughout the city.
Meanwhile, Aria Garret, an ambassador for a race close to extinction, known as the Fernodes, must find the evidence to clear her sister's name, after implications in a terrorist plot bring hefty consequences, and the threat of war. In desperation, she turns to Jack Murphy, and his outlaw crew, for help in finding the proof, which will clear her sister, unveil a galactic conspiracy, and prevent a war which would surely mean the extinction of her people.
