about me

I began The Adventrues of Sohi series for my grandchildren. I wanted them to have a book that once they started to read, they wouldn't be able to put down. It worked. Mystery of Moon Island was self published in January 2011, and after my grandchildren read the first book, they started to pressure me to get the second one finished. Mystery in the Arctic is now finished and in the editing process.

I think of the Sohi adventures as novels for kids. Both books are 23 short chapters and approximately 200 pages. My books are perfect for the child who is ready for chapter books.

Book three is currrently running around in my head... I love story telling and I was pleasantly surprised to find that I love writing as well.

This is such a great place for writers to showcase their work. I enjoy reading and I'll leave honest feedback.

The Adventures of Sohi Mystery....

Susan Brauner

Sohi goes on another adventure in this second book of The Adventure of Sohi series.

It was on a Tuesday night that Dato asked Sohi to travel with him to the Arctic, and although Sohi’s adventures always started on a Tuesday, Sohi expected the trip to be just a fun outing. Little did Sohi know, but by the time he and Dato left the Arctic, a new adventure had already started. Sohi will soon find himself in a very challenging situation. He will have to be brave and smart, and find a way to save Dato from being asked to make an impossible choice.

The Adventures of Sohi: Myster....

Susan Brauner

Sohi embarked on an amazing adventure that takes him to magical lands. He must be brave and use his investigative skills to find Moon Island.

Tuesdays were lucky days for Sohi, and since the first day of summer vacation landed on a Tuesday, Sohi was positive that it was going to be a great day. The neighbors were building a swimming pool and Sohi was invited to sit on their patio and watch the backhoe dig the hole. When Sohi saw something shiny in one of the scoops of dirt, he was determined to find out what it was. He would soon find out that he had found the key that would save Rainbow Kingdom from fading into memory.

David, I loved the title of your book, it made me want to read it. Your pitch gave me second thoughts about wanting to read on. I did read on and I stumbled over the references to movies, tv.. Pete, In general I think you are a good writer. I read chapter one, and found myself skimming over paragraphs trying to find some "meaty" story. I love the idea of your story, the pitch made me want to read the book and I actually poured my evening glass of wine and looked forward to thoroughly en... view book

I love to read science fiction and your story plot sounded very interesting. But, I struggled through the first chapter. It took me a while to figure out who was who and what was happening. It was sometimes hard to follow when the speaker was not identified, and it was hard to picture what was go... view book

Hi Harry, I got your message and you asked for an honest opinion. I loved the idea of your book, it sounded like a wonderful page turner, but you lost me in the first chapter with the letter to the parents. The sick son is so not into his disease and is downplaying it too much, I as a reader felt... view book
