about me

Jonathan has been writing about the Gospel on a nearly consistent basis for almost 5 years. Most of that writing comes through his two websites. Jonathan's professional website can be found at www.JonathanJWoodward.com, and his personal blog can be found at www.SortingBeans.com.

He has served in various ministry leadership positions. Some of them include: preaching/teaching, discipleship, pastoring, worship, small groups, outreach, baptism, students, and church planting.

Jonathan believes the Gospel of Jesus Christ is not something we must believe only to be saved and then move on to deeper things of Scripture. Instead, the Gospel that saves sinners is the same Gospel that sanctifies and grows the saved—a Christian LIVES on the Gospel! Jonathan feels called to build and equip the Church, reach out to those who don’t know Jesus, and live authentically in Christ before others.

Several other book ideas have surfaced in his MacBook’s hard drive. Some of them have quite a bit of work invested in them already. Expect to see more titles to come!

Jonathan is 33 years old, enjoys spending time with friends and family, have conversations, read, write, teach the Bible, practice martial arts, and play worship music. He lives in Cincinnati with his wife and two daughters.

THINC About It: Reading Christ....

Jonathan J. Woodward

Bible reading that's rich, simple and effective at bridging the gap between reading and worshipping—a lighthouse to Christ in all of Scripture.

The problem is that many Christians today view the Bible (cover to cover) not as a story of God’s redemption revealed in Jesus Christ, but as a tool for success, a book of principles to live by, a source of moral superiority, and human heroes to emulate.

The Bible is not merely basic instructions before leaving earth (B.I.B.L.E.). No, it is more; it is the very revelation of Jesus Christ through and through. When the Bible is read absent from this wonderful truth, so is the worshipful response it ought to elicit, and transformation is not fully experienced. This great need is the empowerment Christians need to live victoriously in Christ. THINC About It presents the timely message that will help Christians see this Biblical truth and apply it to their lives.

It is the author’s mission for Christians to be equipped, encouraged, and challenged into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ. "THINC About It" will help readers develop a greater awareness of the revelation of Jesus in all Bible reading. The result is embracing a response of worship and adoration, both of which are essential for living radically transformed.

Earl, I find your discussion about the Garden, the serpent, and the Tree of knowledge of Good and Evil to be very helpful. You make a few points about this Tree, and that God's command was not simply to "know" about evil, but experiencing evil was the sin. For us to "know" evil, we experience it.... view book

Here I go to try to back your book again. Authonomy will not let me! It says I have too many backings from this computer already! So frustrating, because this book definitely needs to get published! view book

Allan, you have a great testimony here that is wonderful to read. You present your stories with clear, level-headed thinking and a desire to share with people your adventures. I was drawn in by the realness of the events you describe in your book. It's probably one of the best testimony stories book... view book

Hi there, David. Finally I get to read your book, "Faith LIft." I've wanted to read this for quite some time now, and getting to it has been anticipated. That being said, I should tell you of my thoughts with regard to your book. Chapter 1: I thought you mention good things here, but it almost fe... view book

Wow, what a story. "Isabel" is probably the best written fiction novel I've read here on Authonomy. It's layered deep with imagery and connects easily with the reader. The story line begins not as an intrusive force, but instead as a whisper that catches your attention until you cannot help but give... view book
