When did you last receive a love letter? What if you found out there were hundreds you never received? Would it change your life?
Travis and Gracie grow up together, share everything, they are each others' first everything. After their junior year in high school they are separated for what seems like forever when Gracie's military family has to move to Okinawa. Painful mistakes made by Gracie's father prevent Travis and Gracie from maintaining contact, from ever seeing the hundreds of letter they have written to each other over the years.
Over a decade later. after the death of both of her parents Gracie returns to the States to start a new life. She meets Jacob, the son of her landlords, and begins what she perceives as a promising relationship. But thoughts and memories of Travis begin to crop up more often as her feelings for Jacob seem to deepen.
Over the years Travis, now a successful writer, has dated extensively but has never married. His friends marvel at how Travis seems to magnetically attract beautiful women, but Travis is as nonchalant as ever, dating for a while then ending things abruptly in a continuous cycle.
What will bring Travis and Gracie back together again? The only thing that can, their love that never died.
