about me

"Live Eels and Grand Pianos" will be published by Callio Press in the spring of 2011. It is a memoir about my parents, Charlie and Kathy Bradford.

Both Charlie and Kathy were seriously disabled by polio when they were children, and this book shows how trhey had to become extraordinary people in order to achieve an ordinary family life.

I think you could do with a careful edit to make it a little pacier, as sometimes you use more words than are necessary. For example, in Ch1 there's a... view book

Lynne - I'll happily back this after reading the first two chapters, but a couple of things about the plotline didn't ring true to me, so you might want to take a look at them. 1. John works for a bank and is transferred to New York. It seems to be some sort of 'exchange' as an American has taken... view book

I've just stared reading this and I think it has great promise, but needs more work. In Ch1, the para that starts "when the nightmare started" is an example of something told that could be shown. Perhaps you could shorten this in Ch1 and use these remiscences later in the book. When awful things ... view book
