Paris Diaries

Maria K.

Tips, impressions and dispelling common myths about the City of Lights and its inhabitants.

Have you ever considered traveling to Paris and postponed or canceled the trip because you believe that: a) Paris is dirty; b) Parisians are rude to all visitors, especially Americans; c) you'll need to dress like a super model in order to fit in; d) you'd empty your bank account on food alone. If you are reluctant to visit the City of Lights for these or any other reasons, consider perusing this detailed, emotional and highly irreverent flow of impressions, collected over two trips. Prepare to laugh, go "aha!", be outraged and toss the book away in disbelief, then come back and fall in love with Paris.

Interesting... Has some elements of the classic sci fi writers, but interesting nonetheless. Putting on my watch list. (And having been in an MRI scanner for an hour and a half, I can COMPLETELY sympathize with your hero. :-) ) view book

Christine, Depends on where you get the coffee. In general, Paris became more expensive after the introduction of the euro. However, that doesn't mean that it can't be done on a budget and with tremendous amounts of fun. :-) I definitely have a list of places to visit: Portugal, Italy, Ire... view book

Philip, definitely adding this to my watch list. On the subject of ghosts - have you read "Mammy Morgan plays the organ"? I think it is something you would enjoy: a ghost story with ghosts but also, with the same thing you are talking about here - our own spiritual skeletons in closets that pop up i... view book
