Blood curdling read that makes Dr Lecter seem tame.

I can't recall reading anything that would compare to your work, Southern dis-Comfort. I've not seen this much research, comment, and effort go into any submission I've read thus far on Authonomy. This has been a journey into a very dark realm, commented on by many psychologists, criminalogists, and profilers --all of whom venture best guesses on an incomprehensible state of the unknowable criminal mind.
This work reads much like a doctoral dissertation minus the thesis statements, but ranks right up there in style, format, and references. Congratulations on all your work.
As in any great work of journalism, stating and commenting on facts and suppositions is the downfall of many a good reporter or writer, and usually ends up losing the reader or turning him off. I didn't pick up on any fatal flaws in your submission. Looking into the very dark and capricious mind of a psychopath, which includes those that appear normal, lie as though it were true, and fool the best minds in the therapeutic world, I approach what you have provided with caution and curiosity.
One of the strengths of your work lies in the fact that you remained relatively pragmatic and objective in your approach and allowed the reader to employ his or her own mind and logic in making assumptions about Marcus. You could have grandstanded your thoughts, exploited the gore and graphic violence and sex, but you chose the high road in depicting the terrible reality of this killing machine. I applaud your decision to do so.
Your choice of wordpictures, terms, phrases, and language makes this a readable piece for a broader audience.
My son writes police and crime novels under Milo Saint, and is a forensics expert as well as a seasoned detective. When he speaks, I listen, and he recommended this work to me, and I am glad he did.
Because I have not run across anything like your work before, I will be watching it for a while to see what others think of it. I have lived through most of the serial killers mentioned in your work, had a relative in Parchman, have another relative in Binkeys, and am no stranger to physchological anomalies, having been a social worker and counselor for dependent and troubled children and their families.
I back your work with a sincere well done on an exhaustive piece of literature.

Eden's Door
Southern Dis-Comfort has a strong pitch that grabbed my attention, and is a serious, well-researched book about the life of a serial killer. I liked the introductory chapter setting the scene on 'killers in general' as a yardstick to measure Jerry against, and I thought you gave some fascinating insights into his character and the childhood influences that helped shape his future in the formative years. Then in C3 you managed to put me inside his head - skillfully done, but a rather creepy experience! This is a well written book that will do well in the True life genre and I'm happy to back it - though I wouldn't want to read it late at night!
First, I would like to say that ‘Southern dis-Comfort’ was recommended to me by SEVERAL authonomists and I am glad I took their advice and read it. It is obvious the amount of research that you put into the content of this book. I bet writing this book was more along the lines of giving birth. I love this book and will continue to pass it on! I would be happy to purchase a copy of this for my bookshelf at home as well.

This is amazing!
What craft, talent, wisdom and vast research -- all put together in one fine work. Yours. Linda Lou, not many have the courage to dig into the darkest, scariest side of human nature. It is much easier to forget, to dismiss, than to bring into the light and examine the shocking facts.
I am full of admiration for your brilliant writing, and for conveying the story in such highly engaging way.
With my highest complements, backed with pleasure.
