DEAD BY TUESDAY

Louis Gallo

A series of comic but bittersweet stories about the varied minor and major catastrophes of everyday life.

These stories have all been published in journals such as Glimmer Train, the anthology Wide Awake in the Pelican State (LSU), Sojourn, The Ledge and so on. Some have been nominated for Pushcart Prizes and one, BODIES IN MOTION, won the annual Greensboro Review fiction award. Again, the stories convey mainly a voice, a sensibility reacting to the ceaseless minor, and major, blows of everyday life. The stories are mostly comic in nature, but the comedy is usually black. The volume is available on Amazon, as POD, in slightly different form. I have had to go at this version chapter by chapter, and thus with no page numbers, and varied sometimes obsolete files. I will only post the first four or five stories of the book here; they should give you an idea of the content. I want time to try to post a few other books, or, at least, portions of books.

The Private Confessions of Dia....

Louis Gallo

Poetry volume -- erotic/romantic confessions of a fictional character named Diablo Amoricus Wishbone

The poems in this volume are written in a new free narrative style I have developed. They can get raunchy, but they are also very passionate and tender and attempt to relate eros and amour to just about everything else in life. SOme of the poems published in literary magazines; the volume, in book form, is available from Amazon, Barnes & Noble and other sites, as POD. My poetry books include THE ABOMINATION OF FASCINATION, THE TRUTH CHANGES, OMENS, HALLOWEEN and WITNESS; my short story volumes include DEAD BY TUESDAY (portions on this site) and WEDNESDAY MORNING; my novel, available as POD from Amazon, is BREAKNECK: A KATRINA FUGUE. Also available a memoir of old New Orleans, THE LORD OF MISRULE.
