about me

I've been writing my novel for ages, I'm embarrassed to say how long, but I am on the home straight. A bit like London on the way to the 2012 Olympics. I'll update this section as the weeks go by so you know where I'm at.

I write because I like it, I have to, it's part of who I am. If I didn't write I'm not quite sure how I would find meaning to life. That sounds a bit extreme but I think it's true.
I used to write for newspapers and magazines but haven't done so for a long while. I've won some awards, including an Arts Council grant and I work hard.
I enjoy the idea of gardening and living by the sea. Hope to make the latter a reality in the near future.
