about me

Published author of Fantasy novel KING'S ENVOY, first book in the Artesans of Albia series.
Also of non-fiction book FOR THE LOVE OF DAISY.
Please check out my publisher's website, www.rhemalda.com, or my own website, www.caspeace.com for more information.
I am also a freelance editor who loves working with writers to help improve their work. If you are interested, please see my website for details, or message me here.

About my books:
King’s Envoy is the first book in the triple-trilogy ‘Artesans of Albia’ fantasy series. In the first trilogy, the deadly threat facing all Artesans is only just becoming apparent. Although the initial moves are played out, the power behind the threat remains hidden.
In the second trilogy, ‘Circle of Conspiracy’, the main characters become embroiled in treacherous attacks on both realms. One of them is even implicated in the plot.
In the third and altogether darker trilogy, ‘Master of Malice’, this same character is now the target. In the series' final, and utterly cataclysmic, confrontation, this person must decide whether to make that most fundamental of all sacrifices…

I have also written a non-fiction book. Published by Can Write Will Write, ‘For the Love of Daisy’ is the story of my beautiful Dalmatian, Daisy. Containing many lovely colour photographs, it is available from Amazon and also from www.canwritewillwrite.com.

About me:
So far I have spent most of my life working with animals, mainly dogs and horses. I am a qualified riding instructor and have competed both in riding and carriage-driving events. In the early 1990's I was fortunate enough to spend 3 years living in Italy, where I developed my love of writing.
I am an avid reader and have catholic tastes, although my main interest lies in the fantasy genre.

My hobbies include playing guitar and singing folk-songs; my local church choir; dog-agility training and competitions; working in stained glass; medieval music and growing cacti.

If the first chapter is anything to go by, this book is a delightful read. Well written, with plenty of flavour and a clear, concise style. The characters of Pascual and his grandson shine through from the first time they are introduced, and the ending to chapter one certainly compels the reader onw... view book

A G, I read your first two chapters and here are my thoughts. You describe the eruption well and give just enough of the old man's character for the reader to feel some empathy with him before killing him off. Thinking about this chapter in relation to the next, I wonder if you could have given som... view book

Hi Tom, There is much charm and flavour in your first chapter, which is all I had time for. Stephen’s thoughts flow well and his voice sounds right. I did sometimes feel there was a jerky quality to the writing, and the lead in to some of the scene changes – in particular, the final one about the h... view book

Hi Peter, I have read your first chapter and am perfectly happy to back your book, as I well know the stresses of the race to the Desk. I will say, though, that although your writing is undoubtedly accomplished and slick, I found the style a touch dry for my liking. I was drawn in by your first few... view book

Hi Danl, I have just read your first chapter and I think it shows potential. Amalia is a charming and interesting little girl but I think you need to sort out just what viewpoint you're going to tell this story from. Mostly you place the reader firmly into Amalia's head, but every now and then, suc... view book
