about me

Shy, quiet thinker in his early fifties.

I write as a means of dealing with life. My stories relate to the human condition, the struggles, the aspirations and failures. But, it also deals with victory and glimpses beyond ourselves into the transcendent.

Lifestyles portrayed often deals with issues related to acceptance, faith and inclusiveness - I have a real problem with the tendency in society and religion to reject people who are different.

I have no agenda, except to teach people to walk in the shoes of others. Therefore my writing is always in the first person. I want you to experience life at the fringes of what is viewed as "normal" in society. I do not claim experience in the lifestyles portrayed, only a lot of empathy for those who have to walk the path less traveled.

I am not very active on this site, nor do I promote my books. Therefore my rankings are like my stories, at the fringes. I believe that those who are lucky enough to stumble onto my books will find things to think about.

Exploring the supernatural and its influence on the destiny of people.

The story is born from a feel that there is more to life than meets the eye. There is no tangible evidence, yet the perception seems to be lingering in the subconscious mind. Questions pop up, never to have real answers. In this story the author is trying to give flesh to this feel. A fictional world is created, with real life as a backdrop, and draws the supernatural into the experiences of a young boy faced with many challenges. Dealing with loss, growing up into an adult world., struggling with the clash between cultures, and being pulled by destiny into the role he has to play in it.

THE CHOICE: A Journey Home

Daniel David DeWet

Are our choices real? Or are they the results of our circumstances?

Our lives are living stories, consisting of circumstances and the choices they influence us to make. Are these choices real? Or are they just our reactions to the events that shape our lives? What is the interplay between all of these events that direct our lives?
In his book THE CHOICE, Daniel created an imaginary world that the main character has to pass through in order to reach his destiny, his real home. Environments or the circumstances we are exposed to during a typical life cycle became physical continents, and the stages of life are portrayed by the oceans separating them. Will Gent pass through, or will he get stuck on one of these continents?

Pamela, I am playing a bit with "double meanings/combinations". We usually talk about a nature reserve and an Indian Reservation. I have tried to combine the two and play with a double meaning by using Indian Reserve. With this, I am trying to imply the closeness to nature that exists within the Wa... view book

Chapter 1 opens with a tangible and emotional rendering of Zsa Zsa's search for Martin. The chapter draws the reader in and creates compassion for the main characters involvement. The second chapter gives the background, the history of Malanga and creates the backdrop for the story to follow. Chapte... view book
