40 Days The Diary of an Accide....

Annabel Sweeney

I'm not an alcoholic.
There is however, evidence to the contrary.
So I'm going to abstain for forty days.

This is my diary.

Clare Swift has a happy life.
Happy marriage, happy children, happy happy happy.
So why does she feel like her life is falling apart?
And what about all that alcohol she's been drinking?
She decides to get a grip and sort herself out.
She will not accidentally have an affair with her best friend's husband along the way.
She will exercise more and become a fitter mother in every regard.
She's going to put the world to rights while she's at it.
Exploring motherhood, her home town and what it takes to keep a good marriage going.
Think Bridget Jones moves to Wigan, does some thinking about George Orwell seventy five years after the great man wrote his Road to Wigan Pier, oh and sorts out her drinking problem.

Dean I'm charmed. Not sure if that's the reaction you're after but this story is funny and sweet even though a part time stripper betraying his girlfriend (who he really loves) shouldn't be either. Raw talent, but that is what makes it so compelling. You need some typos correcting, minor details,... view book

Is it wrong to feel like you have so much in common with Gary? (ideologically) He is certainly very persuasive. And that's the thing, he is real from the moment he edges his way down that platform without communicating with his fellow train passenger until he really needs to. I love his understa... view book

Pretzki I'm glad my main character is strong enough to make you confuse her with me, the author. She (the imaginary she) is writing a diary because she has reached a point in her life that she is finding difficult, (not me, I'm fine). It is a diary so I doubt she (again, imaginary-unable-to-ty... view book

I agree with Jim, this is confident and assured work. As you read you know you are in good hands. I'm happy to back this early on, I really believe in this. Unlike Major, er sorry, Captain Parker's senior officers. More fool them. Good work Mr Delacy. view book
