about me

I'm a human version of bipolarity. Sadly. At times I'm as docile as Bambi (rarely). Then I can get as angsty as a cat with fleas.

I think you get the picture.

I've been writing since I was little, but middle and high school made me forgo this passion. I turned into a swanky Michaelangelo type, diving into the art world.

I have many theories, among them one being that Max Ride wasn't quite as original as many believe it to be. Anybody watch that Jessica Alba show from early 2000's, Dark Angels? Epic storyline, epic similarities to Max Ride - which came out three years LATER. Both star runaway test-tube babies named Max (no joke!). Both Maxes are sassy and pretty (and excellent thieves). The only major difference was that Jessica Alba doesn't don wings at any point (she uses ropes to swing around buildings) and her "flock" is in hiding somewhere off the face of the planet.

I think that wasn't the era for deep plotlines. The audience lost interest in mutant kids and the show was canceled. :( Max Ride brought it back.

I tend to type and speak British English (*points to words below*). Nothing is more insulting than being told I spelled "colour" wrong. It's not me, loves, it's you.

My current favourite genre - I have passing phases on what I like to read - is fantasy-romance.

I'm focusing firmly on a new novel (possibly series) based loosely around the biblical plagues of Egypt - sans Egypt. Replace God, Moses and evil pharaohs with the mythical Furies, Seraphim and necromancers, and you get my novel in progress: Furies' Game.

That's about all I can say for now.

Ciao, all who've made it thus far.

Love,

Lily C.

Aw dang, it stopped! *is heartbroken* I'm sorry this took me so long to get to. I didn't log onto Authonomy for a while so didn't see your message. This is a lovely story, rife with rich vocabulary and a distinct "The Forest of Hands and Teeth" feel. Thank God they aren't zombies though. Had enou... view book

Definitely descriptive and the different setting caught my eye. I lost a little interest in the slightly rambling intro (and lost track of where he was exactly) but other than that, I can say that this was a great read and I'm glad you mentioned it to me. Stunning. The culture of this place is gripping and I would love to know more detail. I can not fault anything here (and I'm a true cynic). The intro was catchy and the pace kept me going. Backed. Lily C, author of Furies' Game view book

Hey, Excellent read, this. Read it all in one shot. I've loved Norse mythology (any mythology, really) so I was hooked. I do wonder, though, about Iven and Mia's inexplicable attraction. Is there a good reason behind that? It seems unreal at this point (gives me Twilight vibes, which I hate becau... view book

Lovely intro. I agree that you make Pete a likable character very fast and that serves a heavily emotive response to readers. Poor bud. I couldn't find anything to correct in here, no improvement needed. Reading on and backed. Lily C, author of Furies' Game view book
