When an idealistic young businessman finds out why some of his employees have gone missing, he risks his life to expose a terrible government secret.
When Ryan takes over his father's construction company, he becomes an important member of Liverpool's Corporation Council, the syndicate of global companies that formed to buy the city from the British government. Soon after taking control, twelve of his employees go missing but the company's executives keep this hidden from him. When he is contacted by a friend from his school days who claims to have information about the disappearances, Ryan determines to find out whether his friend is telling the truth and why his executives would keep such information from him.
What he finds is a world of secret police, assassinations and betrayal. In his quest to expose the corruption of the city's government, Ryan becomes caught in a battle to expose painful truths and to save his own life.
