about me

My writing has been recognized on state, regional, and national levels. Still unpublished, though . . . gotta fix that.

I dabble in short stories and poetry, but my true passion is novel-writing. I write lots about gay men.

Emerson College ♥ That said, I feel like I'm a bit younger than most others on this site.

Aside from writing, I love theatre and music and reading. I read pretty much anything, from cereal boxes to the classics, but my favorites are novels that are fun and readable but still mean something. Good examples = The Book Thief by Markus Zusak, A Prayer for Owen Meany by John Irving, Maurice by E.M. Forster, Les Miserables by Victor Hugo (fun? Yes.), anything by John Green or David Levithan, The Hunger Games, and, of course, the Harry Potter series.

I write to change the world.

Damaged

Hannah Lamarre

After being raped by a local high school lacrosse star, sixteen-year-old Timber struggles to find a way back to normal life.

Three months ago, sixteen-year-old Timber Amherst's world was shattered by an event so traumatic that he can only refer to it as "that." Unable to tell anyone about what happened and plagued by flashbacks and paranoia, he has cut himself off from his old life -- family, friends, school. He finds comfort only in playing lacrosse and beginning a tentative friendship with Tate, a girl who knows loneliness almost as well as Timber does.

How the Heart Beats

Hannah Lamarre

A compilation of short stories, "How the Heart Beats" spans the passions that drive us.

Love. Anger. Desperation. Desire. Finding. Losing. Understanding. Yearning.

Reasons for your heart to beat.

All I Have That's Real

Wow! I've only read the first chapter of this, but I'm enthralled!! I think this is a great topic for a book, because it's something that is rarely addressed but still a problem in many places. Kudos for choosing to dedicate a book to it!! I love Shuki :) If you wouldn't mind reading a little of my ... view book

Hi! :) I really, really like this :D I think you capture perfectly the voice and attitude of a middle school boy! It's funny and keeps moving and is always, always interesting. A few things I picked out: "She took the eggs home . . . and her two children, one who could only say "moose" and the ot... view book
