about me

My name is CHRIS ROBINSON. I work with people with addictions to alcohol and drugs. I have worked as a journalist and lecturer in drama, video production and history. I am married and have a daughter and grand-daughter, a stepson and stepdaughter. I have travelled widely and have been writing for as long as I can remember. I've had a few articles published and was editor of a US army newspaper in Germany.

THE PARTISAN

Chris Robinson

The Soviets wanted a Second Front against the Nazis so they sent for The Partisan

After the Battle of Stalingrad in 1943, Major Nikolai Solov is sent to train British commandos for an attack against the Nazis - part of a Soviet 'goodwill mission'. However, his superiors want him to become an assassin. Major Solov has other plans when a chance meeting shows him a way out by doing what he does best - killing the enemy.
But it's hard when you're not sure who that enemy is...
Haunted by memories of his father, Solov always found salvation in war not revolution. Now it's time to make amends.
He can only fight back the way he knows how...like a Partisan.

Hello Marissa, really enjoyed reading this, the first four chapters. It was so immediate and drew me in completely. The writing is really tight and not a word wasted - the way I like writing to be. The characters and premise are so every day brought to life and I think most people could relate to it... view book

This is the worst sort of polemical diatribe I have yet to read - it's almost sub-Mein Kampf. Fortress America getting all paranoid about pinko commies, foreigners, and its failure to maintain its 'former glory days'. How paranoid are you, bub? Of course we need trade unions, otherwise the bosses w... view book

Excellent stuff. Hard, tough, taut writing. You know your stuff and you've created two great characters in Fulton and Mike. Like this geo-political stuff, it relates a lot to what's going on in the world. It's great, that's why it's on my shelf. Chris1 view book

I like this a lot. Portrait of a killer and how he arrived at that point. I particularly like the what I would call Hitchcockian moments - the kill, getting the body into the boat and the dumping at sea, the young daughter so at risk both at home and out on the beach looking for her father, then the... view book

Paul, this is a great story and one that is hardly touched on by historical writers. Wat Tyler and the Peasant's Revolt is a period of history barely touched upon by storytellers OR historians and it's easy to see why. It was a near-revolution ahead of its time and nearly put paid to feudalism. Wat ... view book
