about me

I vanished, but I've returned!

If I promised you a read return, hopefully you've forgiven me for never getting back to you. I'm back in the game and ready for reading.

Also, if you're interested, you can now buy the book:

I've made some changes to the flow. I turned chapter three into a prolong, and I only uploaded the other chapters up to chapter four, so the format changes after chapter three, and it looks like there's no chapter four because I'm too lazy to upload the rest of the chapters right now. The story is still on track and readable all the way through, I assure you. :)

Some days I'm asked, if you were to use the universe to make cookies what flavor would they be? Bacon. They'd be bacon flavored. I'm convinced bacon can fix anything.

One day, I will own a Chia Pet and name it Freckles.

I have seen Einstein's brain. It was... weird. It's not on display, so being allowed to view it was an amazing honor, regardless of the morbid nature of the thing.

I traveled all over the country to do research for this novel:
Berkeley, CA,
Princeton, NJ
Birmingham, AL
Philadelphia, PA
Niagara Fall, NY (I've only seen the Canadian side from the US)

Also, Tuna does swim from Japan to California starting in the spring and arriving in the summer, and over sixty percent of the east coast fish is purchased from the west coast.

This novel is complete at just over 50K words. I have added some things since the novel was proofread, and I probably should have ran them by Marci first, as I have issues with catching my own typos. Thank you to anyone who points them out! It's an amazing help. :)

I'm currently brewing up a sequel.

Albert: A Gray Matter

M. E. Shekinah

Riz Matters encounters the late Einstein sitting in her living room. This chance meeting spirals into an elaborate treasure hunt for the undead Einstein's brain.

Riz Matters, a twenty-three-year-old college dropout, wakes up one Saturday morning to find the late Albert Einstein sitting in her living room wearing her bathrobe and pink bunny slippers. After this encounter, her mundane life will spiral into an elaborate treasure hunt for Einstein's stolen brain.

This story is inspired by true events of afterlife of Einstein's brain. Riz, her genius brother Michael, and the deceased physicist, Albert Einstein, embark on a bizarre road trip to help Albert reclaim what was stolen from him sixty years ago--his brain. None of them realize that they are not the only ones looking for scattered pieces of gray matter.

The book is well thought our without being overly dry or too emotional. It also avoids the trap of having to buy into a certain set of beliefs for the self-help to help.;) The examples are clear and allow the reader to go past reading and into the doing in order to experience what they have read. ... view book

I think the transition from the first book to the second is smooth and I like the way the second book opens, looking at Airen and Falath through Airen's sister's wine, not knowing whether it is in the past, future, or present. Very engaging as the story grabs you and pulls you into Falath's world .... view book

Good beginning, really got my attention and kept me interested. Saw some minor grammatical errors and over long sentences, but the pacing of the story kept me going. I really liked the description of the two detectives and the "useless piece of shit" info from Gordon is a nice addition. Will enjoy ... view book

I started reading your novel, and the first thing that caught me is the length of the first chapter. This is a personal preference, but I like short, fast chapters, that keep the pages turning. Now, because this is in digital form, it's a little different, but it still feels heavy scrolling down. Ma... view book
